I’ve spent some time looking through the products available to give your bathroom the shabby chic look. I’m sharing them here, I hope you like them as much as I do.
The look can be achieved by buying and placing individual shabby chic accessories in your bathroom. Think of white or cream distressed mirrors, painted metal toilet roll holders and cream or white lace shower curtains.

Budget Makeover Old Sewing Table Turned into Bathroom Storage
I had an old wooden sewing table that really wasn’t needed. The wood was very water stained and to be honest if not used in this project would have been thrown away.
I’ve rescued it using chalk paint to change the color to off white. I achieved this by using a fabulous product called chalk paint. It’s great, as there is no need for undercoating. The thick paint hides all brown wood color. You won’t get a perfect smooth cover but if going down the shabby chic route that perfectly ok.

The table is being given a good coat of paint. It needed around 3 coats to cover the brown wood.

The table is finally in the bathroom. The top is used to stack towels, while the lid opens so I can store small items like toothpaste and cotton wool.
I found an old blue and white pattern bowl to hold regularly used items like hair brushes and tweezers.

Overall, I was very pleased with the result. It just to shows you can find and upcycle decorative bathroom decor pieces on a shoestring.
Before you buy new, it is worth hunting around your home to see if anything can be repurposed.

✅Shabby Chic Bathroom Furniture
Adding shabby chic furniture to your bathroom will provide extra storage or will provide for a practical purpose like a toilet roll holder. I particularly like the rose wall hanging hook, perfect for hanging your towels or dressing gown.

✅French Bathroom Fixtures: Cottage Style Bathroom Mirrors
Every bathroom needs plenty of mirrors. We all need help with putting on makeup or shaving. Here are a couple of mirrors I have picked out that would fit in with your shabby chic styled bathroom.
An alternative is to look out for a distressed styled picture frame and replace the center with a mirror.

✅Bathroom Lighting Rustic Chic Style
It’s difficult to find suitable lighting for a shabby chic look bathroom, I am trying to avoid the more modern look that is so popular. All that stainless steel and angular styling just doesn’t fit rustic style decor.
Instead, I have found a selection of lights that are more antique looking. These would be great in your shabby style bathroom.

✅Decorative Bathroom Towel Rings Distressed Style
Continuing the shabby chic theme, we all need somewhere to hang our bathroom towels. Avoiding the usual plastic rod styled towel holders, I have instead found these lovely bathroom towel holders.
Made from metal, either free-standing or fixed to the wall these will do a great job in hanging your bathroom towels, and they look stylish as well.

✅Floral Shabby Chic Shower Curtains
If you have a shower in your bathroom without a door or you have a shower over the bath, you will need a beautiful shower curtain to add style and keep water off the wall and floor.
I’ve picked out a couple of beauties here. I have looked out and chosen shower curtains in white, cream and subtle floral prints.
Also, there are some lovely lace shower curtains lined with a waterproof liner course! I think lace also fits in well with the shabby chic look.
Conclusion
I hope you have been able to find the perfect products for your bathroom.
